There are a host of wedding venues in Indianapolis to choose from when planning your big day.
It’s a great city and we’ve just got so much going on here.
But when it comes to wedding venues in Indianapolis, what’s happening outside in the rest of the city isn’t as much of a concern as what’s happening in and around the venue itself.
After all, if you’re getting married in one of our great venues here, you’re going to be spending most of the day and/or evening there.

Fortunately, like we mentioned already, this city has venues out the wazoo!
You’re only going to be getting married at one of them though, so we’ve put together this short list of 5 of our favorites to hopefully give you some ideas and help you out a little. 🙂
1. Fountain Square Theatre
It would be weird if we didn’t mention ourselves.
But we really do think that it’s warranted.
First off, we are in one of the most historic areas in all of Indie.
And we are a historic site ourselves.
The Fountain Square Theatre has been here since 1928 and we’ve done our best to keep things as they were back then.
We really pride ourselves on our vintage nostalgia vibe and, if that’s something you would like to have for your wedding, we are the obvious choice.
If you want to dress up like the Great Gatsby and play jazz and swing music all night, that is something that we are all about.
Even if you want to keep things modern though, we’re still a tough venue to beat.
We’re right downtown too.
So, after the wedding (or before it) you can easily get around to pretty much all of the cool stuff in Indie to have fun and enjoy what the city has to offer.
Speaking of fun, did we mention that we also have a vintage duckpin bowling alley, game room, hotel, and rooftop garden bar all on site?

2. Avon Gardens
These folks are located in Avon, which is kind of a suburb on the west side of Indie.
And their location is beautiful!
It looks like something out of one of those British period dramas.
Come to think of it, that might be a good theme if you want to have a themed wedding.
We really love the pond area and the gazebo altar that they’ve built.
The tents, candles, and everything else that they set up are also enchanting, especially during sunset and evening time.
Since Avon Gardens is obviously a garden venue, it is relatively seasonal.
That mostly means Spring, Summer, and maybe Fall.
We’re sure that it’s lovely during winter too, but people are mainly going there in the warmer months from what we can tell.
3. Crowne Plaza (Downtown Union Station)
